The purpose of the class will be focused on the following:
- The development of chi for vitality
- Mindfulness for increased awareness and clarity
- Breath work to reduce stress
- Movement to help flexibility and cleansing the toxins within the body
We will start with learning the original 8 movements, these movements will be applied
to the eight directions. From here we will learn the proper breath work and mindfulness
creating increased blood flow, increased chi and increased overall health.
Through this process we will cover the 7 stances in Chi Chuan, also the different hand techniques used within the forms. We will also cover the meridians ( energy pathways) which correspond to different organs within the body as well as how they all relate to each other.
Our Goal is to share the knowledge to better your health and give you the tools to manage the everyday stress we may face. Allowing you to Envision your potential for a brighter future.
About Tom: I hold the rank of Master in both Karate and Kung Fu with disciplines in
Okinawan Karate, Qigong, Baquazhang, Xingyiquan, and Tijiquan.
I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki Master.
